What! A Diet of Pizza and Ice Cream is not Healthy?
It's swimsuit season that gets me thinking about to eat or not to eat!
(coupled with a tall tale)
I just picked up the Carbs up from their weekly counseling session. Yes, it's hard to be a food that's so misunderstood. The first tragedy of being a Carb is that from an evolutionary point of view they're not necessary. The body has ways of circumventing their usefulness. By any other name it would be called dieting. If you eat no carbs your body will break down body fat to use.
Okay, okay, okay Carbs give us energy. Carbohydrates also protect your muscles. When you need energy, your body looks for glucose from carbohydrates first. Get over it you Carbs, for the most part, you aren't needed.
But if you cannot live without the taste here's a list of healthy carbohydrates. Post it on your refrigerator door, at least it will look like you're trying.
An apple a day will keep anyone away, if thrown hard enough!

Milk, 1% fat

Desperation is shaving before stepping on a scale.
Since potatoes have eyes, corn has ears and beans have been known to stalk around, you can't get away from carbs. They certainly have a bad rap when it comes to weight gain, but those are the bad carbs. I don't have to give you the bad carb list because you probably just ate one. The good news is there are blameless ones.
